Daily Dose
Barley Malt Syrup
A mild, natural alternative to sugar. It a thick toffee-like syrup which is derived from barley sprouts and water. Rich in maltose, it has a mild taste and is only 40% as sweet as sugar, supplying a more prolonged source of energy than most concentrated sweeteners. It is an excellent alternative to sugar in baking. It can also be enjoyed with Mini raisin scotch pancakes. Suitable from nine months.
