Fun Nutritional Fact!
Live yoghurt is full of probiotics, which support our immune system, mood, and mental health through the gut-brain axis, aid digestion, protect against tummy bugs and food poisoning, and help to improve overall resistance to disease.
INGREDIENTS
- 350ml organic whole milk @yeovalley
- 2 heaped tbsps organic plain, live yoghurt (I use @yeovalley Greek style)
- 2 tbsps milk powder (optional - I used skimmed milk powder as I had some in the cupboard!)
- Powder from 1 probiotic capsule (optional)
- 0.5L thermos flask (I have one that I just use for yoghurt)
INSTRUCTIONS
- Heat the milk in a pan until bubbles start to appear.
- Take off the heat and whisk in the milk powder.
- Pour into a glass jug and allow to cool until just tepid.
- Put the live yoghurt in a mixing bowl with the probiotic powder.
- When the milk is tepid, add it to the mixing bowl and whisk well.
- Pour into the thermos and screw tight.
- Leave overnight and then pour or spoon into a sealable glass jar and refrigerate for up to a week.
